The 30th annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive that kicks off May 14 is the largest food drive of the year benefiting the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, and typically brings in about 30,000 pounds of food locally to keep pantries stocked for the summer.

You can help by collecting a bag of nonperishable food and setting it out by your mailbox this Saturday, or by volunteering to collect food from mail carriers. Donations are always welcome as well. Visit communityfoodbank.org/stampouthunger or email volunteer@communityfoodbank.org for more information.

Most needed items: Canned beans, soup, vegetables or tomato products; oatmeal, cereal and granola bars; peanut butter; rice and whole wheat pasta; canned tuna and chicken.
