The Pima County Transportation Advisory Committee (PCTAC) was briefed Tuesday by the County’s Department of Transportation on the status of roads selected for repavement during Fiscal Year 2021-2022. Here's the rundown for roads in Green Valley:

  • Arivaca Road and roads in the Arivaca area – The contract has been finalized with pre-construction tasks in progress and actual construction beginning near the end of September 2021. This project includes 2.47 miles of local roads and 40.71 miles of arterial/collector roads.
  • Green Valley Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Curb Ramps – The contract went out for bid on August 19. A total of 70 ADA ramps will be installed in Desert Meadows 2, Green Valley Fairways (E Verde Vista), Esperanza Estates, and Portillo Place. Construction start date TBD.
  • Additional Work – The bid packages for the roads affected by the ADA ramp work are still being developed, along with packages for other roads in the area that are not affected by ramps (Green Valley Acres/Green Valley Foothills, Pasadera/Madera affected HOAs along Camino de la Canoa, Desert Ridge, Mission Twin Buttes, Camino Holgado, Elephant Head, Hawk Way, and Helmet Peak Road).
